Closed Captions for the Hearing Impaired
So I have a question about closed captions that I am hopping one of the many wise board members might be able to answer for me. My wife is hearing impaired and wear hearing aides most of the time. There are times however, when we are just hanging out relaxing and watching the television, she has them out (it is more comfortable). With out them she in she relies on captions to understand 80% of what is being said on the TV. My question is who turns the captions on or off on a program. I am asking this because lately captions are no showing up on programs they should be on (has the CC icon in the info). We have the TV set up correctly in the menu so is this a cable company issue, a we need a new TV issue, a network issue? Who has answers???
