I'd go with Obama, because he's younger and more vigorous, and would be a better rescuer in an emergency.

McCain's physical issues means I'd be more worried about him than enjoying the dive.

So my response has to do with which would make a better dive buddy, and nothing whatsoever to do with politics. :P

Obama would cut and run if you were in trouble. At least McCain would stick with you if his heart held out.

I'm pretty much politically neutral, but I thought I should point something out.

The speech that Obama gave yesterday was at the Berlin Love Parade. I used to live in Berlin. The Love Parade is a gay pride rally (not that there is anything wrong yada yada) that morphed into a gigantic peace rally, that has been around for over 20 years.

The news makes it sound like 25,000 people showed up just to see him.

I'm inclined to agree. McCain has shown his fortitude in the past. Diving with Obama would be a surface swim. He's so full of hot air you couldn't get him under without a 2 ton anchor. He sure would make for some awesome redundant buoyancy though.

We should put them both on those machines that measure lung capacity.

Of course, with McCain...

You'd get half way through your dive, and he would decide to go be someone else's buddy.
