Dive #50

I was up at Dutch yesterday and after waiting out a storm, completed my 50th dive. When I was OW certified in June '07 I never would have expected to have so many dives in such a short period of time. My certification dives were horrible. When we gathered our gear at the shop they gave me a farmer jane and jacket. The jacket said size small and the jane was inside. When we got to Dutch I found out they had an xs jane inside the jacket. When I finally managed to get in the wetsuit (my boyfriend and the instructor had to each hold one side of the suit and shake me into it) I could barely breath. The whole experience was awful.

A trip to Cozumel, buying my own gear, a trip to Roatan and many dives at Dutch later... I'm in love with diving!

Congrats! I hit 50 my first dive on our liveaboard trip in the Bahamas in January.

I also had an awful check out dives experience, but then went to Cozumel..fool proof recipe for becoming a dive junkie

Congrats. I'm on 39, but I've got my 5 specialities and Rescue, so when I get to 50, I'll get my PADI Master Diver card.

I hit #50 on Saturday 26 July, and 51 on sunday. Got OW back in '89, and never went back because of similar bad wet suit experience. Did a re-cert here in Guam in December '07 and started counting from #1 again at that time. Finished AOW 30 June. With any luck I will hit #100 before Christmas.

My Dive#50 was forgettable.
Mask kept fogging up every 2 minutes.

Here's me looking forward to Dive #100. Long way to go though.
