It's looking like diving just got a whole lot cheaper/better for me.


Have been diving for about 3 years now...
A new shop opened up close to where I live about a month ago, and I checked them out.
Went diving with them on a trip to the east coast of Korea, and had some fun.

Went in to bull$hit with the boss yesterday on my way home, and he made me an offer: help him with his english, and all my scuba cert's are now free. He wants me to eventually be a DM with his shop.
I plan to take full advantage of this...

Once I'm certified as a Divemaster, I'll be working with him part time, running his dives with english speaking foreigners, and then stepping up to instructor.
Should have my DM qualification by the end of the year.


This opens up some very cool doors, like working as a DM in Thailand three months of the year during high-season, either at resorts or on livaboards. Getting paid holidays as a beachbum? Nice.


Just started studying for my Emergency First Response, as part of the Rescue Diver course. Most of it is just review for me, as I did a few Red Cross first aid courses a while ago...
Will have my Nitrox tag ASAP, too.


Something else cool?
His shop is constantly full of hotty, single women.
And there's a beer fridge.

Nice gig, most divemasters make very little or nothing working for dive shops. Sounds like luck has come your way, may want to buy a lottery ticket now.
