Question Mixing certification

Hello again not sure where I should post this but wondering what everyone thinks. I am currently NAUI certified do any of you recommend mixing companys for certs. such as doing aow with ssi or padi for example. How does that work if you are certified by two different places?

No problem going with a different one for AOW after OW. I did SSI OW in college then 10 years later did AOW, Rescue, DM all with PADI. Find good instructors that fit with what you want from your training and go with them not the agency.

Cool thanks guys I didnt realize that you can mix like that. Makes it easier when it comes to price and searching for instructors. Thanks again.

It all comes down to the instructor...I have NAUI OW, Padi AOW and Rescue and will be starting with SSI on Dive Con...all because I like and have confidence in the instructors involved.

I changed the dive shop I was using after getting my OW through SDI. The new dive shop is a PADI shop and got me my AOW without any issues.

There will be differences because of the certification organization within classes most likely in the same way there are differences between instructors in the same organization, but you're perfectly mixing and matching. Most accept each other.
