It must have been my "lucky shirt."

Even though my allergies were at their worse and I'd gotten very little sleep, I got up early yesterday and hot footed it to the LDS, as they were having "door buster" sale, with raffles for divers getting there early.

They had three raffles: first 20 divers (for a ScubaPro reg); first 40 divers (for a ScubaPro $150 gift cert.) and divers with the email ad printed out (or another ScubaPro $150 gift cert.).

Damn it! I lost the second raffle, but I WON THE OTHER TWO RAFFLES!

I won a Mk2Plus/R295 regulator. I thought about using my gift certificate to upgrade, but I decided that I had no use for two primary regulators (my Zeagle Envoy Deluxe being just fine), but I'd been toying with the idea of getting a pony bottle. By all accounts the Mk2Plus/R295 makes a perfect pony regulator. (Now, I just need to get a 13 c.f. pony bottle and Zeagle straps.)

I used the $150 gift certificate to get 0.5 mm Profile Steamer wetsuit. It should come in handy for my January trip to Little Cayman, as well as providing a little extra warmth with my 7 mm FJ for local diving.

To what do I attribute this luck? To wearing my "What would Mike Nelson do" T-shirt to the raffle.

Luck? It was foretold in the bones.

On Friday night, I cast the chicken bones and they told me, quite vaguely I admit, that an eater of seafood would win something in Sebastopol. In all truthfulness, I envisioned the port of Sebastopol in the Ukraine. But, California is close enough.

No, there was no luck involved. The bones do not lie.

No doubt it was the Mile Nelson T-shirt. Good Karma...
Of course you will need to trade the single hose reg in for a nice Voit 50 Fathom double hose reg with a Voit Snugpak backplate and some Vikiing Duck Feet fins. And an oval mask.Congratulations. The Early Bird gets the worm.

Luck? Take off the rose colored glasses! Poor Fisheater didn't win the second drawing... ie. he lost.

What a bunch of "glass half-full" nonsense!

Being a humanitarian I offer my condolences to you Fisheater and offer to take the so-called "lucky shirt" off your hands for you. If not for that shirt you would likely have the much needed pony bottle that will likely save your life one day.

Get rid of that shirt - (PM me for shipping address.)
