Sounds like I'm one of the few people that enjoys the taste of ginger...I cook with it often.
First time I've heard about if for sea-sickness, though. I'll have to try it, although I don't get sea-sick, anyway. Extra protection can't hurt...

You'll be able to buy it fresh at any Chinese/Thai/general Asian store for a very decent price.
