Cousteau book

I just finished reading J.Y. Cousteau's book "The Silent World," and it's a blast to read about the early days of the "aqualung" and about some of humanity's first forays into the deep-deep...recommend it.

Here's a link to the book's listing on Amazon... it's gotten a bunch of good reviews, I think I need to read it:

Amazon.com: Silent World (NG Adventure Classics): Jacques Cousteau: Books

Oh, nice!!! I haven't watched it since I was a kid. Although, if I recall correctly, they had their non-eco-friendly moments. It'll be interesting to contrast how differently we dive.

There's definitely a lot of flora and fauna and water "abuses" that make me cringe today, but these guys were literally pioneers. The evolution of the technology is so interesting, as is Cousteau's profound wonderment about the sea.
