light sock

Anyone ever use one of those flashlight holder things? I think they're called a sock.... If so, what do you think about them?

My wife and I both have the Oxycheq light sock for the Raider I (Revision 2). I think it's really nice and am 100% satisfied with the sock. I have has some problems with the two raider lights, but there are plenty of others that have the same light and don't have any issues with it. I belive the intova lights will fit the Oxycheq sock also. I really don't like the pistol grip lights and I'm not ready to drop the $$ on a can light, so that set-up is a decent compromise.

I know Intova recently updated the LED on thier lights to a 4.8watt LED and you can choose a wide angle beam or a narrow beam version. If you're planning an OW night dive in clear water, the wide angle would probably be the way to go. I haven't used the Intova lights, but I've heard several good reviews.

Hope this helps.

I love mine (and my Raider III).

It's wonderful having a free hand, even while having the light on.

One tip, tie a SS bolt snap onto the back of the light. Snap the bolt over the bungie cord on the light sock. Then, you can snap the light and sock securely to your harness when you're entering and leaving the water.

It was originally intended as a safety feature for the light, but it works for that also.

I might use the oxycheq goodman handle for my greenforce light.
