Awesome Dude,
I'm not sure about taking the ring underwater....don't want to loose it and once she finds it, she will want to respond and then what you both surface on a drift dive? Maybe you pop the question as you are getting out...end of safety stop with a slate or sign. You don't want to do it right before you start a dive...it will take all the wind out of the situation if then you have to concentrate on a dive afterwords. I love the idea of poping the the question during a dive, the logistics don't seem to work out. Maybe you might have to settle for a nice sunset. Maybe during a surface interval on the boat. Congrats and let us know how this turns out. Snagel |

I know someone who proposed with a ring underwater, had a small box in a shell which was planted, that is where I got the idea from. His intended "found" it and it was very sweet.
There is no problem taking the ring underwater as long as it is properly secured in a little box. You can leave it in the box and you can wait until you are on your SI to put it on her finger. She will be plenty able to indicate her response underwater. Maybe the op can help you know when you will have a dive which is not a drift dive. And I bet you could get the DM to jump in and plant it for you. Good luck. |

![]() I just bought my own set, for my ears. But I wear fakes when on dive trips! You can find some good fakes rings around. Don't have to have that huge paperweight. |
