Advice and ideas needed
Ok so as the title reads, need some advice and ideas.
My gf and I are taking a trip to mexico in a few weeks and I plan on proposing to her. Now both of us are very avid divers so what i thought was, I'll propose to her underwater.....great idea but not sure how to pull it off, thought about laminating some cards so she can read it, but if anyone here has done this, or has some good ideas please let me know ![]() thanks |

Awwww
Good for you to put so much thought into this. You could get the DM to "plant" something when he ties the anchor in. But I am thinking of wreck diving, so maybe there is no DM tying anything in. Will there be a ring? If so, you could even hide one in a small box inside of a big shell, just make sure it is something distinctive so that it isn't too hard to find. You could plant it yourself while you are down there. If you need to do the planting yourself, signal for her to swim in front of you, plant it in a good place, and double back to have her "find" it. Good luck, and many happy years. |

i like the idea of the treasure box or shell, but most of the dives are drift dives, may present a bit of a problem, ideas? lol
and yes i have the ring, would it be a good idea to take it under the water usually we take all shiney things off due to possible barracuda and as to not lose things lol |

Whether you do it under water or at the surface is going to depend on her tolerance to anxiety under water. Would be a pitty to have her find the note/ring, totally freak out, spit out the reg and drown. I'm thinking that wouldn't get the marriage off to a very good start.
