Probably just another Great White...they can grow to 20+ feet in length. However, given we've only explored a tiny percentage of the oceans...ya never know.

Ya, the shark that played the shark in Jaws (yeah, that's what I said.) was a 25 footer according to the crazy sailor captain. I'm sure they exist in the wild.

Well, I'm diving there this weekend, so if I spot it, I'll post some pics.

Pretty impressive! I'm not sure if I'm more scared by the size of shark #2 (and shark #1, for that matter) or just the sheer indestructibility of these things...

Leave a note in the camera housing, instructing the finder how to post the pics here. That way we'll still get to enjoy them!
(don't forget to put your user name and password on the note also)
Good luck!

Righto, then. I'll leave the details with surface-watch and add some positive buoyancy to the housing so it'll float. Wouldn't want you blokes to miss out on some decent pics. :-)

Funny thing is, the smaller shark they caught on drum-line was taken about
500m or so from where we normally launch the boat.

Good thinking on making the camera housing buoyant! On the bottom, it may be awhile before someone found it.
