Redesigned- Alert Diver Magazine

Alert Diver Magazine and Online Magazine has been redesigned!! The "free" publication sent to "paying" DAN members has had a major overhaul!!

I got to see the new Alert Diver yesterday at ST and WOW! They have done a major improvement to an already great (but somewhat limited diving safety/news) magazine. It appears that the new version will be a front runner compared to the "paid advertisements" offered as dive magazines on the market.

I have subscribed to almost every diving magazine that I could find and although I love the pretty pictures I have gotten really tired of the mind numbing gear and location articles that seem to be based on "comps" and paid advertisers rather than honest opinions and reporting. (Seems to be a pattern with most media nowadays)

I hope the new Dive Alert will not turn into another gear/travel brochure and from what I have seen so far it looks good. I am waiting for my copy to show up to get a closer look!!

I was worried first about the change from 6/year to 4/year, because I like quantity and quality both!
I am very pleased with the new format. The articles are GREAT! I still get my quantity, (more articles), and the quality seams to improve as well!

I haven't looked through mine yet, but I'm certainly more inspired to dig it out and take a look, after reading about the redesign in a few places now.

Just got mine yesterday ... quite a change, for the better, both look and content.

I have not got mine yet. I think it will arrive tomorrow, Monday at the latest.
