Boat dive etiquites ???
Hey all
I know when I certified, and while diving, many people have a wide range of what it is to be polite to your fellow diver on the boat. What do you believe is courtesy???? And/or what makes you angry when your on the boat??? what is expected on the dive boat crew???

1) Keep your gear in your spot. Don't have it strewn all over the boat.
2) Don't touch my gear. 3) Smile, or at least don't frown at me unless I just put my tank down on your foot. 4) I expect a safety brief from the crew. 5) I expect a dive site and dive conditions brief from the crew. 6) I expect to be checked in when back on the boat. Don't leave me. 7) I expect to tip accordingly. If you leave me in the middle of the ocean, no tip for you. 8) Oh, and if providing tanks - I like them full, please. |

NEVER dirty the water in a CAMERA dunk tank with your mask. NEVER EVER EVER put anything but a CAMERA in the CAMERA tank. Rinsing your mask there will earn you enemies, and for good reason, dirt in that water could result in dirt in orings, which could cause a leak that would ruin hundresds of dollars of gear.
Also, rinse your mask out in theo cean to get out scuba-cicles/snotcicles before rinsing it in the mask rinse tank. |

If my gear is close the the swim step, giant stride entry point of the boat, please leave me enough room to gear up. I know YOU want to get into the water NOW, but no one is leaving until I surface, so don't make be the last one off the boat, because I'm gonna suck that tank dry before I surface just to make everyone else wait
