Oh no. This can’t be good. I think I’m addicted!

I got in the pool with the kids today for the first time since my OW dives, and they asked me why I keep blowing bubbles. DUH! I didn’t have a regulator in my mouth, so I couldn’t inhale. My instructor told me if I’m not inhaling, I better be exhaling. And what’s with this 4 1/2 foot deep nonsense? Sure I can see more than 5 feet in front of me – at least I could have if I had a mask on - but come on, 4 ½ feet deep? I didn’t even have to clear my ears in 4 ½ feet, much less have an opportunity to perfect my buoyancy control. And has anyone tried swimming without fins lately? Talk about a pain in the butt.

Oh well, I’ll find someplace to practice when I can’t make it to the lake I guess. If you happen to see me at the community pool, I’ll be the one swimming around the bottom of the deep end with mask, fins and snorkel. Oh yeah, I’ll also be the one blowing bubbles.

By the way, does anyone have the routing number for Joe and Larry’s bank account? I need to rearrange my direct deposit tomorrow morning . . . .

Heh, for sure, for sure.

I attempted to swim the other day w/o fins. All i did was kick and sink. Not a pretty sight...

Whom ever constructed a pool that's only 4.5 feet deep should be drug out to the street and shot!

Well it looks like im one of the lucky ones my pool is 8 feet deep at the deep end. But i am getting tired of looking at the drains. Maybe i should put my wifes gold fish in it.

You should get some of those little pool weight toys. That could keep you busy for a while

My pool is 8 feet and its just not enough-I have seen the bottom too many times. This past summer I taught my 7 year old to snorkel and we had a great time...I guess that means I am cultivating an addiction in a minor. It was still great to see him cruising around like a dolphin.

We tossed around a 16lb bowling ball in the 10' section of our pool during OW last year....amazing how that thing can just zip horizontally thru the water....

When I was young and stupid working as a life guard. We used to drop a 2L bottle full of sand and water at each other as we were swimming along the bottom of the pool..Called it the "Depth Charge" and it was not too bad when you got hit.
