First Dives After Certification?

I'm just curious. What were some of your first dives like right after getting certified?

I got my cert in upstate NY and ended up making my first OW dive off the coast of Tampa. It was a great dive and I loved the warm water. I did have a tough time with the motion of the ocean though. My first boat dive as well as my first open ocean dive. I fed the fish while on the way to the dive site but it was truly awsome! I cant wait to go again but this time I will take the dramamine and maybe wear a motion sickness bracelet. Overall it was great.

The friendly waters of Cozumel were the site of my first dives post OW-certification.

Its been a lot of years but I think it was a shallowish (65') wreick witha friend who was a DM and then a nice reef

My first dive after my OW was just off the beach here in Laguna Beach, CA. Not too bad, but I did realize I hate beach dives LOL.
Boat dives are definitely the way to go!!
My next dive was at Cozumel!

on one of the same dives i did my cert in the lake, went down to 55 feet.

I did my OW in the Bay of Islands in NZ and my first dive after certifying was a wreck dive on the Rainbow Warrior. Thats the Green Peace boat the French sunk in Auckland harbour. They still don't care for the French much down in NZ.

That ship got sunk in the harbour? i knew it got sunk around New Zealand but thats pretty ballsy of the french to do that in a New Zealand harbour.
