550LB Hammerhead caught off of the beach

I would have tried to release him, but what a catch off of C. Florida-Flagler Beach. I've actually seen Hammerheads this big and that close to shore, but it was in the Keys.

How is that possible? I would think a shark that size would have pulled him right off the beach & had a 2 for 1 deal... It's also a little scary to think a shark that size is so close to shore, although it was baited so that's prbably why... Right? Please?

Wow that's a heck of a catch!!!! Man I bet that that was a hard one to hang on to. Still it would have been cooler to see it scuba diving.

Very nice fish but it would have been better if he would have been able to release it. I do not blame the fisherman but it is a just a shame.

HOw though?? Do you know anyone who would be willing to get that close to a live HammarHead and reach in it's mouth to unhook it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Anyway I had gone to the keys months ago (but still this year) and I saw these weird transparent tube things that could curl themselves into balls. Does anyone know what they are?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
