Exclamation Go See The Movie

Hi to all,

I just recently watched the movie "Sharkwater" for the first time. You can find out more information here http://www.sharkwater.com/ ! I am not a militant conservationalist (due to the image and PR problems that brings) but I am still a conservationalist! This is one animal we need to be reconsidering our relationship with. Though they may bring about fear for many divers (or non-divers), this is without merit. I think respect would be in order and not fear. I have loved sharks ever since I could talk and I'm glad to see the fear factor challenged and the myths about them dissolved by ones who understand their behavior better than most. Not that I'm advocating yanking one by the tail, mind you! Anyway...

Go see this movie and be amazed. It is by no means a boring ol' documentary. You will be suprised. And then take it one step farther. Spread the word. Call a lawmaker. Tell a friend about the movie. Get educated. I for one want to be able to see some of these species when I dive. I'm afraid I'm getting a late start and some will be to scarce or totally gone. But let's be PROactive!!!! By the way....the soundtrack found on the website is SO incredibly awesome. Give it a listen too!

Thank you for the reminder. I saw some info about this movie at Beneath the Sea back in March, but it's been so long between then and now that I'd forgotten about it. It won't be out in this area until November--too bad. This looks like a must see.

I plan on taking a class of 4th - 6th graders to this movie when it is released here. It might be too late for my generation to change, but we can educate the next generation. And hope its not too late.
