Combined shipping - Is this always the cheapest way?
This one would be for Larry.
When it comes to bringing down the costs of shipping, particularly to Australia. Does it always pay to buy in bulk? Or does there come a point when it does not save you anything to buy in bulk (or even make it more expensive due to the total weight and size)? For example, I am thinking of getting for my buddy and I: 2xPrinceton Tec LED adventure packages 2xHanger packs 2xOttoboxes 2xMcNett cleaning packages 2xSnorkles 2xSlates 2xCompasses Various save a dive compontents Various retracttors and clips By the way, I would research this myself, but the problem is that the UPS prices do not reflect the true shipping prices to Australia hence why I have posted this question. |

It's always cheaper to do it together. The first pound is way more expensive than the last pound. The only time I've seen guys save money on larger orders is when the dollar amount gets high... The if they buy a Reg setup and the BC, but their buddy buys a computer - it might be best to send them to each person as otherwise it would toss you over the $1000 AUS threshold for duty.
Copy your list of stuff into an email, and shoot it to info@scubatoys.com along with your full address and we can work up what the shipping would be for you. I have had Australian customers also tell us to take the batteries out of lights as they are not that expensive there, and since they weigh a bit - the cost of batteries was not worth the shipping cost. |
