Open Water 2: Adrift
Um...I didn't even know "Open Water 2: Adrift" had been made. But it has. If you're wondering how it is, you should check out the review on CHUD. A few of the highlights from the review: * "Open Water 2: Adrift tells the story of six friends who go yachting in Mexico and find themselves screwed when they all jump in the water without a way to get back on the boat. What then proceeds is torture, misery and hopelessness. And the characters have problems too." * "As an aside, with three hot women naked for most of the pick, there’s a disturbing lack of nudity...scratch that female nudity...there’s plenty of mancheek action if that’s what floats your boat." * "This is all not to say that the film is entirely bad, but it lacks most of the elements that made the original film at least compelling at times." Doesn't look real compelling to me. Not rushing out to rent it. I found the first Open water somewhat interesting to watch, but it was so bad for the dive community as a whole, IMHO. As I talk with nondivers trying to turn them onto the sport the second fear they have, after sharks, is being left behind by a dive boat. I try to explain that it is so rare and would likely never happen with an established charter they are still convinced that divers get left beind all the time. That movie, like JAWS instilled a fear in people that will take a long time to git rid of.
