DM Tribute
How about a thread dedicated to those great dive masters that go lengths to help and please all the rest of us. Lets hear a good story about your most impressive dive master experience or something amazing they have done.
here's mine-I was in cozumel about 10 years ago. This was probably my 5th year in a row diving with Blue Bubble and their top DM Jorge. By now he knew our group pretty well, all except my uncle who randomly decided to come along this year. Now you have to imagine my uncle, a little overweight and out of shape and not a great diver. He came along because his health is failing and this would probably be his last dive trip before his doctor would tell him no more diving. He shows up with his horse collar BC that hasn't been used in at least 20 years. Jorge took one look at it and told him he couldn't dive with it. Instead of going back to the dive shop and wasting time getting another BC, Jorge let my uncle use his and Jorge rigged up one of his own. He took a mooring line and looped it around the tank a few times making a few shoulder straps for himself and then attached his reg and he was ready to go. He grabbed a 2lb weight and back rolled into the water. Once underwater he stuck the weight in the small of his back and led another great dive with his "rope BC." It was simply the most amazing thing I've seen a DM do in all my years diving. |

The MV Playmate out of Key West has some great DM's.
Christian: He is the most knowledgable spear fisherman that I have ever met. He is willing to share all of his knowledge. All you have to do is ask. Nicola: She is very knowledgable and friendly. Not bad on the eyes either ;-) (Ok, so I'm a pig. What did you expect?)
