How young can a child learns to dive? - Scuba Forum

I was reading some articles on the web. just wanna get some opinions from you guys.

i think Padi says age of 10, where as, some says 12 or 15.

But what about the growth plate/bone of the child due to DCS? .. it'll affect the growth of the child. Are you worried about it? If you are breathing compressed air at depth, you're bound to DCS, just that it's either minor or major.

I read one article, from one of the instructor, saying that he will not teach any kids, because of this factor.

Do you allow your kids to learn diving?

Dont know anything about the previously mentioned stuff, but I have heard that it is more difficult for children to equalize because their sinuses, and eustaion tubes are not yet fully developed
