What have you missed?
I cant believe i missed a seal while diving yesterday.
![]() It swam right between my buddy and i and of course i was looking the other way. He even got a photo of it with my leg in the photo. I missed a cuttlefish a while ago on a dive as well. I always seem to miss the good stuff. Is it just me or do other people miss all the good stuff? Jas. |

I tend to miss out on interesting sea life when I'm in a hurry to catch up with my buddies, when I'm verifying that my buddies are ok or when I'm watching the behavior of a fish I have already seen many times before. I seem to find more interesting things when I slow down and pay attention to my surroundings.

Almost missed my first shark (medium sized-nurse) on a dive over the summer. Luckily the buddy grabbed my fin and spun me around to show me (was watching the new divers to make sure they were ok).

I missed out on two dives-our first open water dives was to be in the Gulf of Mexico near Tampa Fl and I was so motion sick I was unable to dive. My husband, two step sons, and brother in law all made the dive with a DM but without me. In fact my brother in law was motion sick as well but he took the advice of the DM and went anyway-Its true, there are no waves on the bottom. Next time.
