Well, we had diving with the deer, now its a pig found a mile offshore..

Not uncommon
Acually near shipping lanes it's not uncommon to see animals floating. When an animal dies on one of the livestock transports, many times they just throw it overboard. I personally have seen several cows, sheep, pigs, and goats.
