Cant beat free gear!

We have been talking to a lady who has been trying to find someone to give her gear to, she took the course did the checkout dive and then just gave it up. We met her today to get the gear and I had thought it was going to be gear that needed alot of work. But she gave us a Dacor BC (ladies BC for my sis), Dacor Viper Tec Regulator and Octo and a Dacor Quantum loop computer and SPG with a compass. I also got a bunch of soft weights and weight belt, and a Cochran Captain wrist computer. Im taking all of the gear tommorow to my LDS to see if its all safe to use!!! Anyone have any opinions on the viper reg and octo???

Yes...you should dispose of all of this gear as quickly as possible by sending it to me; I accept all such items for proper disposal as an ongoing, selfless service to my peers in the diving community.

A perfect example of why it's not a good idea to buy gear before you're even certified. Her loss is your gain.

My buddy down at my LDS says people come by & give him used gear all the time just to clean out their closets.

What a great windfall for you!! Congrats.

As to feedback on the viper, I found it to breathe wet when I had a viper octo. so I sold it.
