Dry Mouth
Alright folks,
I know people talk a lot about dry mouth and using the Apollo Bio filter. I don't want any moisture in my regulator, so I decided against purchasing it. People also talk about chewing gum underwater, but I tried that and can't because of my reg. Are there any other solutions? |

some people drink capri sun under water.
I have had a bio filter for 2 years and I have had no problems.

If you don't want water in your second stage.... uh... don't go diving?
![]() Moisture is in the second stage all the time - it's the first stage you don't want it in... that's why the bio filter goes between the first and second stages, not between the tank and first. |

don't read this if you get grossed out..... I find that moisture collect in my 2nd stage. my guess is that I drool into it. when I have a dry mouth I just turn face down and schlurp my way to a moist mouth. It tastes better than salt water.

I was getting a terrible dry mouth for a while until i read on here about dry mouth and making sure you are hydrated.
I forget who it was, but someone said that being hydrated for the dive isnt just drinking before the dive but the whole lead up to the dive days before. I was only drinking when i was thirsty and i was behind the 8 ball before my dives. I now drink alot more at work and i havent had a problem with dry mouth since. Jas. |
