Question Out of sheer curiosity

My niece got certified with me, and my niece being my niece insists her fin was once stolen by a fish - So she didn't tighten it enough (and it was later found.) Anyway, this got me thinking, as I primarily dive freshwater quarries -

Has anyone ever been witness to an animal that wasn't supposed to be there?

I only ask out of curiosity, I've read news articles about fisherman catching piranha in rivers in the states, so has anyone ever been privy to this?

Oronogo, MO has Koi, did a spear fishing tourn at Table Rock a number of yers ago and one gal speared a 5 lb. bubble eyed goldfish.

I can't swear I actually saw any piranha but I thought I did once-kind of red bellied perch/crappie looking thing.

And who is Tahoe Tessie????

Oh cool! So basically Tahoe Tessie is the U.S. version of, "Nessie." My niece is into crypto-zoology, so maybe this will get her willing to go to more dive spots with me - or keep her out of the water all together, the wonders of teenagers lol

If it's the same beave lake I dive in... It's in Arkansas on the white river system. Bull Shoals, Table Rock and Beaver lakes.

I did see a Koi at Oronogo, about 2 1/2 feet long. That is the only one I have seed there though.
