Gear Marking
How do you mark your gear?
I know there are paints and permanent inks out there but I have never found one that stays on for very long. I work in a lab now and have some markers that will mark anything and stay on through some strong solvents, but after a month or so in the summer it is warn off. I'm thinking about some 60 grit sandpaper and a sharpie over the sanded part, than cover with polyurethane |

I think we're all out of luck when it comes to permanent markings. Sharpie or the good ol' "marks-a-lot" reapplied as needed is the way to go. Or you can do like my dive buddy, and get the most disgusting-colored gear you can find, and plan on being unique.
