Scuba diving Timeline

While searching around I came across this page. For me and anyone interested in a little bit of history about diving I am sure you will find it a little bit interesting. I had no idea that SCUBA diving had been around for so long. Couldn't believe people were developing suits for diving back in the 1700's. I really thought diving had dveloped much later than that. Hope you enjoy the history.

Diving History & Time Line updated thru to Dec 2003 events and last update entered 3-20-2004

if you really want the history of how things were developed and navy rules and regulations, there is a 700+ page pdf file floating around somewhere with all kinds of great info... I have it on my computer at work (read it through once already) I'll search and see if I can find a link to it...

Great links, I'm always interested in the history of diving. I love to hear some of the stories the old timers tell.
