Much thanks

Proper who know's but my friends who have their boat at a marina in the water take it out to the sand bar and get in the water with masks on and scrape the hull at least 1x per month in the summer... clean out the intakes etc. It's and I/O. Take your ratchet down in the water with you and change the zincs.
The alternative is paying a marina 50 to 100 bones to pull it and put it on bunks for the day while you clean and do maintenance to it.

This post brings back memories, as I have spent many hours under boats. I assume are talking about salt water. Hull cleaning is pretty straight forward. I like to use a scrubbie with handle and a couple of putty knives.

A ratchet is one of the last tools you want to take under water, unless you have a large supply of them. Salt water is almost impossible to remove from the mechanism without complete disassembly. If not removed, you will soon have a non-ratcheting wrench.

Most zincs today use allen head screws for fastening. A properly sized allen wrench and a hammer are all you need to change them.
