I've seen and heard more talk over the past year about
rebreathers--advantages, training needed and the like, but have not yet seen anyone speak to following: I know that there are some vessels out there that refuse to allow folks to wear doubles, but how many regular dive operators allow rebreather-equipped divers on board the charters they run? As a rebreather-equipped/trained diver, have you ever been refused space on a boat due to your equipment? What would be/was your reaction to this? PlatypusMan |

The spree / and maybe the fling just started to allow RB Divers on their charters this year. Still no doubles unless it is a tech charter on the spree. Most RB Divers check with the dive operators before heading down to make sure that they can support and allow them. |
