I've never been diving in the ocean and am going to Florida in March. So I'm pumped as well, going to do PADI Advanced Open water course so I get a bunch of types of dives and new skills for a good price!

The ocean is just water. Don't fear it, but do respect it. I think you're gonna do just fine.

1st offshore is coming up....I can taste it. In fact it is an anticipation that is literally bursting from me. From the time I wake up till the time I actually drift from conciousness to full sleep.

My dive shop has a new boat. Richie Kohler has it booked and will be diving with them the 18th-21 or 22nd of this month. Last time I was at the diveshop for an event, Richie was the event.

Mind is giong crazy over here. The joy, the anticipation, the preperation, the fear, wondering how many questions will be answered and how many thoughts will be justified. It has consumed me. All of this that I have just spoke....has consumed me.

Fear growing....anticipation ......growing........excited pre hype.....building.....$#!t I wanna get offshore and underwater..... breathing on compressed gas Mu^#f@&!n' blues going on! Somebody tranq my @$$!
It will be exciting for sure!!!!

I was just e-mailing back and forth today with Richie concerning his NJ wreck trek later in the year....small world.

I was very impressed with Richie when I met him. He spoke to me and with me. Very personable guy, or he was to me. I only wish I was at a point that I could comfortably go diving with him when he comes down.

Small world indeed.

Goober,

You're going to love offshore diving. No carrying all your crap and putting it on and walking into the water. You put it on and fall in. Some of the best locations are reached by boat. Enjoy yourself and tell us how it goes!
