LDS Charge for Pool usage?

It's been a few years since I've been in the pool. We're going on vacation next month and my wife is a newbie so I thought it would be a good idea to get her in the pool and review the skills that she learned in OW certification training. When we were done the owner of the dive shop says.....That'll be $66...... ($25/person+$16/2 tanks). We were done, so I had no choice but to pay.

It's my fault for assuming that the price would be close to what it was the last time that I used a LDS pool (~$10/person including air). I was wondering what other LDS's charge for pool usage?

Mine charges $20 including air. If you buy your gear from him it is free.

I don't know what they charge someone walking in off the street, but if you take a course through my LDS is free for life (including air)

If you take your classes with ST, you can use their pool for free. I wasn't aware that LDS's charge for that! I guess I'm spoiled.

My LDS charges $10 per person air included. But they have a club that's $50 per year. You get unlimited use of the pool, 10 air fills (they are $6 normally), and use of the boat if there's room. About the only way you don't come out on that is if you don't go diving.

That sounds like a great deal!

BTW, do you dive the Ouachita?

I might make a dive a year there. Normally we go to Greers Ferry Lake. That's where the boat is. But they are both great lakes for diving as far as lake diving goes.

Like many others, mine charges $20 per hour, includes usage of anything they have setup in the pool room - exposure suits, bank of air tanks, weights, etc. If you buy something or want to try out a product prior to purchase, it's free.
