SSI Certification Numbers - Scuba Forum

SSI has just moved to a 20-23 digit certification number. For example my Advanced Open Water Cert number was 651295 but has been changed to 80117512039951295802-US on my Master Diver Card. I have the same number on my Rescue cert card too.

So much for me trying to remember my number.

At least the string 51295 stayed consistent -now all you have to do is find out what all the other junk means.

Maybe it's a test for being narced.

"If you can write your SSI # on the slate . . . ."

Did you call and ask them why they went so a long string of numbers?
