I haven't looked at this one but I have 2 Mares computers (Airlab and Nemo) and a Uwatec Galileo. I prefer the Uwatec over the Mares computers because I found the Mares algorithms too conservative.

Mares will have a similar conservatism factor to the suunto, but the oceanic is on the complete opposite end of the scale. They are very liberal. So it depends what you are after in the algorithm.

I have a Galileo Sol and I have an Mares Airlab as my backup. Its saved me on 1 dive. The Sol completely froze about 10 minutes in, so I was very glad to have a good backup as it was a great dive.

My Mares Trilastic 7x5x3 was much warmer than the H2, but it was also far too tight due to bulking up at the gym considerably since buying it 2 years ago.

Yeah, its like having a label stick into the back of your neck. Otherwise the suit is awesome. Also it is VERY buoyant on the surface, but quickly loses the buoyancy as you dive down.

I've always wanted to go to Antarctica, part of my goal to visit every continent. I think it would be even more spectacular to see it from an angle even less people get to.

Wow, sounds like a great dive. I love aeroplanes so this will end up high on my dive list. Keep us posted if it goes ahead!
