    lake of the ozarks

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone has dove the Lake of the ozarks recently. I imagine that its probably a mess, but I thought I'd ask.

I've got friends that have, commercially that is. It's not worth it unless you have a reason to do so. The mud hole in your back yard has better vis.

Its very different from bull shoals. The viz is usually bad or worse. Its not really a dive site.

Not that I've ever dove LOA, but I've been on it many times boating. It's pretty dirty water, with a lot of mud bottom and muddy/sandy shorelines. It just can't be much for diving. It's a great lake to get run over by drunk boaters though!
Norfork, Bull Shoals, Table Rock, and Beaver are all pretty much rocky lakes, and have decent vis most of the time.

I hear there are things like needles and others things in party cove that you wouldn't want to find.

I suppose if you collect needles, beer cans, and swim suits, it may be a good treasure hunting spot!

There is a dive shop around here that always lists a 3 day dive trip on a house boat to Bull Shoals and I was just wondering what the conditions are like there.
