    Tusa manufactured.

I've read that in the past TUSA manufactured Scuba pro regulators for them. Is this still the case? If so, do the TUSA and Scuba pro regs use the same internal parts?
Which models are the same between each of the brands?

    Thanks,
    Mitch

Where did you find this information?

ScubaPro is really vocal about being the 'Ferrari' of scuba gear.

Tusa is more like, "Dude, it's the new millenium, it's all good."

    Fascinating, if true.

I've heard that they are the same thing, but I'm not quite sure if they use the same internal parts or not...

I think the Tusa RS-460 or maybe it was a RS-430 is a Scubapro model.

Tusa makes masks and fins I think for Scubapro I've been told also.

Most scuba companies have some "sharing" or OEM relationship with another scuba company.

the only one I know of are the ones I have - the RS460... they are the same as the Scubapro MK16 1st stage, and R390 2nd stage...

That's interesting. When I have dived with Tusa regs, I was always pleased. Is there a serious price differential?

Not sure, Scubapro doesn't sell the MK16 anymore I believe, so its tough to compare... the R390/395 can still be had though...

the closest would be the MK11/R395 Scubapro combo, which Leisurepro sells for $300, retails for $400... Scubatoys sells the RS460 for $305, I think it retails about $345...

I didn't think that ScubaPro sold anything online.

that's one of the reasons its better to buy a comparible product from another manufacturer.

ScubaPro won't sell online and wants you to pay full list price through one of it's full price dealers.

They have good gear, but why line their pockets when there is competitive gear and better prices. One of the reaons that Scuba Toys doesn't sell their gear. The issues with them in the past and their online policy.
