    Hi,
Does anyone know of a usb infrared device i can use on my new computer with vista premium. Scuba pro makes one but its pricey at $175. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Pretty much any cheap, generic IR adapter with drivers for Vista will work. Just look for the Vista logo.

I'd avoid the ScubaPro-branded one unless you're on a Mac, since ScubaPro hasn't provided very good drivers for the Mac version and only a few are supported.

No promises, since I haven't used that exact one, but there's no reason why it shouldn't. On Windows, in general, as long as the OS sees the IR plugin and has a working driver for it, the Uwatec computer works fine.

I got a Uwatec Smart Z and bought a cheapie USB doongle of EBAY. Cost about $15 AUD so pretty good compared to the $100 for the Scubapro original. Was a bit of a hassle connecting it through the IRDA as you have to hold it really close to connect but only takes about 30 seconds to download the data!
