Bio Fins Vs. Dropping Extra Lead?

I don't know if anyone could help me out on this one, but I just got my brand spankin' new yellow Bio Fins today and after some reading and holding them, I'm wondering if I can get away with dropping some lead because they sink? If so...how much would the equivalent be?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I've never used Bio Fins but I imagine they are are only .5 to 1lb negative in the water. I don't think you'll be able to shed any lead.

doubt you will drop any lbs but you may need to reposition the existing weights as they might make you go a little "foot heavy". I usually have to get my tank riding a little higher when I use my bios to trim out correctly

Thanks guys, I'm going to have to test them out pool side and get my trim down.

Just wanted to confirm what everyone has been saying.

My tank rides a little higher now that I switched to bio-fins. Additionally, I could tell I was a little heavier so I tried dropping 2 pounds (I only have 2, 3 and 5 pound weights) to find myself a little light at 500 PSI. Had to hold the line for my safety stop.

On a side note, first dive I did with them was a training dive. Prior I was having a hard time keeping up with people. After a navigation exercise my instructor took me aside and had a chat about how I should slow things down as I almost lost her... I wasn't kicking hard at all.
