How many dives in a day?

    Heading to dutch this weekend.....

Gonna arrive on Friday afternoon and dive 1-2 dives (easy pace) on friday afternoon...

Im looking for an estimate at how many dive I can accomplish on Saturday during the day with out a "death by diving" experience.

How long is reasonable to expect for a turn around time on a tank fill?

Historically, how crowded is it this weekend comming up?

Anyone else going to be there this weekend? If so, let me know. I've got a group of 4 people going and we always welcome new dive buddies!

How deep are you talking. I would usually put in my deep dives first then follow them with shallower dives through out the day. You could get a dive calculator and figure it up. If they are all shallow I believe you cant get more than 3. I am not certain what the calculator says without getting up and looking for the thing. lol

I've done as many as five in a day, but I started before breakfast, took 2 hour surface intervals, and finished with a night dive. Depths in the 80-100 foot range.

I would say that safety in mind, 4-6 is a good day. Getting a good dive with a decent bottom time and a good surface interval. That and any more than 6, you need to be in exceptional physical shape. There are times when 3 will kick my butt.

I figured it up once that if one dove in the 50'-60' range and did 45 minute dives with surface intervals to keep you in the safer "C" repetative group and diving for 18 hours, you could get 10 dives in.

The quick answer would be both... lol

but with the answers i am getting, and the fact that I forgot i havent dove since last year, I will probably be out of shape fast and hurting quickly..

I have never been to dutch before and I am going with a buddy who has dove there numerous times. I am really looking forward to it though, since most of the dive up here i have done with 3-4 foot visability and nothing but flat, sandy or gravel bottoms to look at.

    Yes!

It all depends. Some of my dives were working dives so the tasks were broken down in such a way that we could complete the tasks and do it safely.

I did the maximum numbre of dives calculation as an exercise. But when you get right down to it, all dives are good dives.
