My guess is Hollis is going to debut them at DEMA this week, which is coming up Nov 4-7th......Then put the price out there for us to think about.

If while I'm down there and see a price...I will update the thread/post.

    Hi Everyone,

Here is a sneak peek at our new LED canister system. It uses a 16W LED powered by a lithium polymer battery pack. We call it the "best of both worlds" - output of HID @ over 1000 lumen with the reliability and efficiency of LED technology. We will have a production unit at Dema on display. These will be shipping November 15th - MSRP $1199.

    Features:
16W LED / Lithium Polymer battery system
    4 Hour burntime / Output +1000 Lumen
Weighs 4lbs on land / 2lbs in water
Charging time is 3.5 hours with fully discharged pack
Delrin canister body / Aluminum head
Goodman grip or Elastic grip (optional)
    Max Operating depth 500ft./152m.

MSRP is to be $1200. DiveRightInScuba is taking pre-orders at $1000.

Let's ask what Joe and Larry can do.

That is tempting - but telling my wife that I just spent $800.00 for a flashlight is going to be a hard sell!!!

Better than telling her you spent $1600 on a flashlight!

Repeat after me: "It's a safety item, dear... you don't want to risk me getting hurt, do you?"

She will just ban you from diving ever again!

"It's a safety item, dear... you don't want to risk me getting hurt, do you?"
"Of course not, dear... you're right, diving is a dangerous sport, I don't want you getting hurt without proper equipment. But we can't afford it now. Let's wait and see, shall we?"

    Next week:
"Honey, I'm going diving this weekend"
"Oh no, dear, you haven't got proper equipment to make your dive safe. You know I don't want to risk you getting hurt. Maybe later when we win the lottery and have the $800 to spare for that torch."

This could be a case of:

(in the near future) "What ever happened to Fisheater?"

"I remember him, pretty cool guy. Haven't heard anything from him since he got that flashlight...."

"Hmm, Guess his "It's a safety item, dear... you don't want to risk me getting hurt, do you?" didn't work"

I once saved a man in Wichita just to watch him dive...(inventor)
