Red face Using a balance ball instead of a chair at work.

A friend of mine is using a balance ball to sit on instead of a chair. She claims it helps burn calories while working. It seems awkward to me. Anyone try this?

There are a couple of people I know who do this. I find the people who do this sort of thing are the people who are incredibly fit, into yoga and eating right. After a few weeks of doing it they all seem to just get used to the idea of sitting on an exercise ball.

I did it for a month. If you are up and down a lot it doesnt work. Also, coworkers like to come and push you off of it.

It was cold. 55 at 37 feet. Missed you though. 35 divers all together. May first is the big Scuba day at the lake and the day after that is the big May sale at El mar.

I use a yoga ball while I sit at my desk at home. It's great on your hips and they help strengthen your back muscles.

I think you can get the same benefit from sitting on a bar stool.

Unless it is like the ones at the Cowboy Bar in Jackson Hole, WY. I know a lot of people who get bucked off of them.

Some school systems are using the balance balls now. Not only does it give the kids a workout without really thinking about it but it apparently helps them focus on their work too.

If my son had to sit on a ball he would never get any work done. He would be bouncing all over class or it would "somehow" pop.
