    NAUI not accepted in Australia?

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, and was considering getting my NAUI cert. However I'v heard that some places in Australia and Japan don't accpet it. Please read this post if you could let us here what you have to say.

    Thanks guys

NAUI doesn't exist as a training organization over here, but you won't have any problems with people accepting it as a legit cert.
Some franchises just never make it... CSI:Wagga Wagga was one of them.

According to NAUI Worldwide, there are three shops with NAUI affiliation in OZ, Smashee...two in Victoria State, one in Queensland.

    Sadly, none offer rock-climbing classes.

My AOW was with NAUI way back when (over 15 years ago, can't find it any more ) , so they had a presence here then. As stated above it will be accepted, and if someone says no, em, go elsewhere.
Any dive you survive is a good dive

The only problems I've ever heard about anywhere in the world was from those folks who've been diving longer than me and had a cert that was from Mike's dive shop or West End dive Center and the like that wasn't a national or international cert agency. And then they could usually convince the operator to let them dive. Like Oddbod said: If they don't take it, go elsewhere-it's your $$$, they should be wanting to accomdateyou to get some of them.

I once saved a man in Wichita just to watch him dive...(inventor)
