When Being Curvaceous Is More Than A Plus

I'm doing my internship for Divemaster and yesterday was an unscheduled skills day! The instructor decides we're doing the 15 minute tread and the 400 m swim.

Thought I was going to sink during the last 100 meters, and need O2 when I finished. My last 400 m non-stop swim was in 1975!

But I rocked the treading! No real effort. My 110 lb triathlete dive buddy struggled while I thought I deserved bonus points for having the 36 DDs above waterline for the last 2 minutes! Surprised the DM.

Adipose tissue floats, baby! Let's hear it for the curvy women!

    Wow.

    That's all I can say.

    Wow.
Slowly exhale, relax, your brain will kick in...and if you can breath and think calmly, there's not too much you can't figure out, in any part of life.

LOL! ... a built in life preserver! Occasionally there is an upside to being 'well-endowed'! I remember my class and treading water was easy!

You guys are horrible. They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

I call my gal Bobber now after watching her do that same tred. She didnt move a whole lot. Just bobbed in the water from her flotation devices.

    Thanks!
Noob, she might not like that nickname. Not sure I do, but it is cute.

This is the best picture I have at the moment.
