    The Duke and Gunsmoke

Tim "The Star and Crescent shall not be worn by every man, but only by him who is worthy to wear it. He must be a gentleman... a man of honor and courage... a man of zeal, yet humble... an intelligent man...a man of truth... one who tempers action with wisdom and, above all else, one who walks in the light of God."

Loved watching Gunsmoke as a kid, but what is a western without The Duke.

We have a subdivision here in LV, one street that runs throught the whole town is Marion. In this subdivision the street west of it is John Wayne, the street east of it is Morrison.

Loved Rio Bravo when I was a kid, Pops loved old westerns.

    It's only impossible.

I think that would be called "Brokeback Mountain".

If you loved "Rio Bravo", you must also like "Rio Lobo"

Same story, different sherriff (Robert Mitchum - Dean Martin)

OK, OK. On a serious note. Actually, some of my Favorite westerns don't even have the Duke.

    My Favs:

    Tombstone
    Outlaw Josey Wales
    Little Big Man
    Paint your Wagon
    Young Guns
    Young Guns 2

    With the Duke:

The Man who shot Liberty Valance
    Rooster Cogburn
    Cowboys

    Fav Non-Western Duke Movies:

    In Harms Way
    The Longest Day

In Harm's Way, a great one, Flying Leathernecks also good.

Yes Rio Lobo was also a favorite, don't think Dino was in a bad western.

    It's only impossible.

Yeah, flying leathernecks was good too. And I forgot El Dorado with James Caan as Mississippi.
