    Flooded Aeris ai computer

This is the second computer I've had flood, but this was a really expensive one. Out of warranty, so it's a real sad day for me. I have no idea how it happened. It was not the battery opening. It leaked around the display.

    Too bad, too sad.

I had an Ai flood on me once also. I could not tell where the leak came from but it was totally flooded.
I called Aeris and the gave me an Ra and I shipped it to them. I think my total was around $100 and they gave me a free compass too. I suggest giving Aeris a call. They were wonderful, and the Ai is a great computer in my opinion

By all means give them a call, they have very good customer service. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll have to wait a few hours for their (your) west coast hours. I think their site said 8-5, M-F. So, after 10:00 our time.
I'll post when I've learned something. I hope their customer service is as great as you say.

    And thanks for the welcome.

I have an Atmos ai flood after 400+ dives. On mine, the battery cover cracked. The threaded part was still in the DC. But, the top part was gone. I later found it in the bottom of my dive bag.

    I can't blame Aeris.
I may have over torqued the cover when tightening it.
It could have gotten banged in my dive bag.
I can never be sure what the cause was.

Well I called and they said they could fix it up like new for $150 plus shipping. That's a lot better than shelling out for a new one. Mine had in the neighborhood of 300 dives as well. Bought it in 2006. The leak was around the lens on the second of two shore dives. I don't remember banging it and the lens protector was fine. Who knows?

Vegas911diver, do you remember the turn around time in getting yours back?
