Am I ok to go diving tomorrow

Well I went to the doctor today for my back. I told him how my back had been hurting and how I feel in the bath tub and landed on my butt. Ya I think I caused the earthquake up in Canada.
I told him I went to the ER and they did not find anything. I then told him how I went diving and when I took my bc off in the water and when I got out and lifted my bc up it felt like someone stuck a knife or two in my spine and I could not move for three or four days and was still in pain. He told me he was 90% sure i cracked my tailbone. He told me when it happens it hurts likes hell and it will heal and go away. He told me not to lift any heavy weight. DO a tank bc and 40 pounds of lead count.

He is my thought, if I get my gear ready let dad put it in the water, then put it on in the water like I normally do and then take it off and let him carry it out I should be ok. Or would the pressure and such from the dive cause a issue? Ohhh if it matters I got a cort shot today in my back aswell. It was about 10am when I got it.

To each their own Big, but personally, I would not be diving with back pain/injury so recently. Even in the water you put strain on your back due to the tank. Me, there is no way I would dive. The wise diver knows when to turn the dive even before getting in the water!

No heavy lifting usually translates to less than 20-25 lbs.

My advice is do not dive!

+1. Plenty more days to dive. Only one spine.
Some franchises just never make it... CSI:Wagga Wagga was one of them.

Not to mention a life time of pain and no more diving is you don't let it fullly heal!

Sucks to miss a dive, sucks even more to have spine surgery.

Sure go diving, what could go wrong? I mean what are the chances you may need to haul your dad or his gear out of the water in an emergency? What is the likely hood of something (remember Mr.Murphy is always watching!) going wrong and needing your full strength to address? Its just diving after all......
With the privilege of diving, comes the responsibility of conservation. If you dont like this signature I DONT CARE!!!!!!!!

Being a back pain specialist for a living, I have advice. Too bad that some may think it is not nice enough and will report me to the mods.
