    Vegas area divers!

Saw something on that pawn shop reality show (yea I watch it sometimes, it's kinda neat) and they said that in the 50's the casinos would dump poker chips in the lake.
Since a poker chip from the Tropicana was sold for 100,000 dollars (yea) from that era, I was wondering if ya'll knew that, and have any idea where to look, and maybe found some?

Interesting idea, I might even be tempted to break the "no fresh water" rule to go check that out.
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.

There must be some boat captian or crew member or casino employee from the fifties that have an idea where the dumping took place. I have no quams about removing the things from there, hey the big clean up thing takes place next month. And if we find nothing.. heck we will be in Vegas!

It's standard semi urban legend here. It was a downtown casino that alledgedly did that. We know of several 55 gallon drums in the lake. But have watched waaaaayyyy too many zombie movies to open them. Think of the lake as a can in the gutter, all the sand in the stream of water builds up behind it. All the sand and grit blowing around, and coming down the Colorado river ends up on the bottom. Then cover everything with Quagga Mussels. Kinda difficult to identify anything. Yeah we'd like to find them. Worth a fortune to collectors.

    It's only impossible.
