    Thumbs up Book Review

Living Reefs of the Indo-Pacific(A Photographic Guide)
by Rob van der Loos ISBN: 1-876334-65-7

First off let me state that this book is not just for the photographer although he does give suggestion on lenses. It's really a book about a how to find things and the habitats that they live in. As such I think it's an excellent book for all divers of the Indo-Pacific and I think Caribbean divers can learn from it as well. The books is not an ID book but there are so many excellent photos of critters and fish it can also be used to some extent for that. Knowing where to look for things is in the interest of all divers and if you are like me and love to find things this is a book you should definitely read if not own. The author is located in Milne Bay, PNG and I think the book is really more about that area and to some extent the Philippines and Indonesia rather the Indo-Pacific at large. Still it really focuses on the habitats and as such the ideas can be applied pretty much anywhere.I highly recommend this book.51H7HKVHTGL__SL500_AA300_.jpg
