    Adios!

My time is more important than reading
    What pissed you off today?

or similar 'topics' in the NEW POSTS, essentially every time I check for updates on SCUBA threads.

I will continue to patronize Scuba Toys store as much as possible. They are a great source for equipment and service.

I enjoyed interacting with several members on this board, and hope to continue on other SCUBA forums.

    Cheers!

That's too bad Tonka97. I just posted a great review in the Repair forum.

I wonder if it is possible to display in "new posts" only new threads, or threads that you commented on before, and something new is added. That way there will not be entries in your "new " section, unless it is really a new thread, or something you may be interested in..

well you can subscribe to threads but that wouldn't alert you to new threads about being pissed off.

Good question. I tend to ignore a great deal of non-scuba postings on here. I recognize that everyone has different interests and sharing your intersts for motorcycles and guns and scuba in one forum is convenient.

Every once in a while I get sucked into a non-scuba related thread, but it was my choice. I can't blame someone else for things I read (unless their topic title is misleading and false).

It's like TV. I don't need the cable company to censor what is displayed in the menu. If it is not something I am interested in, I just skip by it and don't watch the channel.

It's too bad, however, that there are days when the actual focus of "scuba diving related talk" is less than 1% on a scuba diving forum.

I would suggest petitioning the forum admin to install an ignore forum feature. vB does have some custom features that allow for just that and it allows members to simply turn off sections they don't want to see.

Alternatively you can do what I do in the middle of projects when I have no time to read the entire post list and that is subscribe to the RSS feeds of the forums you do like then use something like Google Reader. This allows you to keep an eye only on the forums you care about.
